The Fool - Meanings of Tarot Cards

The Fool is the first card of the major arcana. The major arcana can be seen as a journey through the experiences of life, this is where the journey begings. This card is associated with all the magic of beginnings; innocence, boundless possibiliies, excitement, adventure and naivity.

The reason this card is a depiction of the Fool is because it represents the above qualities as well as the carefree attitude of youth. Subsequently, the Fool does not heed the call of maturity to look before he leaps. Therefore he is prone to risktakng which can lead to leaping off a cliff with no net.

The message of this card can be either a chance to be lead by the spirit of the Fool to more enjoyment and merry making, or it could be a notice that your foot is hanging off a cliff and you are soon to follow.

The Tower - Meanings of Tarot Cards

The Tower is the sixteenth card in the major arcana. The apparent disaster depicted in this card can be intimidating. However, this is a card of power and opportunity as it portends a great shift that can lead to great benefits.

This is one of the best cards to get in a spread as its appearance can be taken as a warning sign. Heed the message of this card and reap the rewards of being warned of a coming opportunty you may otherwise miss.

If you choose not to make changes the consequences may be dire as evidenced by the bodies falling from the top of the tower and lightning striking. Let go of what was and look to new ways in order to take full advantage here.

The energy of the universe flows in and thru us. Tarot cards are a way to tap into the energy of the universe to explore our lives, ourselves and the situations in which we find ourselves. Tarot does not tell your future, what you are destined for or who you will be. It is a guide to understanding yourself and how you see the world around you. When you understand how you are reacting to things, you can begin to recognize your own patterns and the opportunities and risks they create. Then you can decide how to use them most effectively as well as which things you like and want to keep and which things you do that will be better done differently. With this knowledge you can then begin to understand the people in your life better as well. Hopefully this additional tool in your tool box of life will help you in finding the bliss in life we all deserve.
